Orders usually ship within 3 days of being placed.  Backorders will be shipped as soon as they are available. 

Your item must be in its original unused condition to be returned, unless there is a manufacturer defect. You must return the item within 30 days of your purchase.

3. Include in your package a signed letter stating the reason for your return and the original receipt.

All items are subject to a 20% restocking fee, this will be deducted from your refund.  Great Stake does not pay for return shipping.

Your new sign holder should last for many years.  They are built out of very durable steel and have been powder coated to prevent rust and fading.

It is best to keep the post as straight as possible when installing.  It looks more professional when completed when it is straight.  You will also want to make sure that the slot you want to use to hang your sign arm is point in the direction that you want your sign to be directed.  It is also best to have the spade that is in the ground positioned perpendicular to the direction of the sign to give it the most support. 

The spade should be used in most applications.  It may not be necessary to use it when there is frost in the ground.  Not using the spade in normal ground conditions will allow the sign to spin in the wind.  

All parts are made of steel that are powder coated.

Great Stake LLC sells sign posts only.  You can use your current sign panels or order new ones from a multitude of sign companies. 

There are many online sign panel vendors and it may also be a good idea to check with local sign companies.

The sign arms for 24" wide signs have the holes spaced 12" apart and 6" from each end of the sign.   The sign arms for 30" wide signs have the holes spaced 18" apart and are 6" from each end of the sign.  If custom holes are needed, please contact us.

If it is light frost, the post will drive through it.  If there are several inches of frost in the ground, it is best to use a cordless drill and a 3/4" spade bit (which can be bought at a local hardware store) and drill as deep as you can.  Then install the post into the hole.

Once the arms and sign panels are removed from the post, use the pounder to pound the post up.  If the post will not move, remove the bolt at the top of the post and pour hot water down the pipe.  Once the bolt is reinstalled, it should easily pound out of the ground.  

Yes,  1)  it is a good idea to wear a good quality pair of gloves.  Be cautious when installing to keep fingers away from the ends of the pounding pipe to prevent injury to your hands/fingers.  2) in high wind areas, it is a good idea to order signs with grommets in the holes or install them in existing signs.
